about us

Using artistic expression as a means to promote environmentalism, Twovital strives to create awareness of environmental issues and promote sustainability. We print our photography on recycled paper and cardboard, and soon we'll be able to produce high quality photographic prints on recycled plastic and aluminum sheets as well.

We strive to work with printing companies endorsed by the Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) as much as possible. The FSC is an internationally recognized non-profit organization that promotes environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world's forests. It is the only certification recognized by ISEAL to follow best-practices in forest management.

The FSC's social and environmental criteria are the highest in the forestry sector, and the process to create the certification requirements is transparent, democratic, and inclusive. These standards have inspired innovation in the forestry industry throughout the world.

In 2007, Dwayne Bass, a seasoned sculptor, had contacted Dave Radlmann, a green builder/developer, to discuss opportunities that there may be in any of Dave's projects for a sculpture. After hours of discussion, they came to the conclusion that there is a need in green building and development for sculpture and art. Thus, the birth of Twovital's pioneering sculpture out of construction waste.

Since this time, Dwayne has been working with Dave to receive a green credit under the LEED's program and will have the first sculpture placed at Commonwealth Braselton in Braselton, GA. When successful in gaining credit, the first sculpture is scheduled to be erected in late 2008.

The majority of construction projects do not recycle waste that is accumulated while building. Twovital provides a positive alternative solution to simply hauling off waste to landfills. Even the construction of our sculptures takes the sensitivity of the environment into account. Environmentally sensitive adhesives are used in all sculptures rather than using welded joints. The end result is a synergy of artistic value, environmental stewardship, and recreational functionality.
